About My Stella

What it does

Enter a birth date, time and place. My Stella rebuilds the sky over that place at that moment — the planets where they actually were, the constellations behind them, the horizon you were born under — and turns it into a birth chart you can read.

• Birth chart — your Sun, Moon, rising sign and planets, each read in sentences written for your placement.
• Compatibility — two full charts compared planet by planet, not just two Sun signs.
• Timing — the year ahead and the longer chapters of your life, read from where the planets move next.
• Celebrity charts — the birth skies of K-pop idols and other public figures, and how yours meets theirs.

How the sky is calculated

Planet positions come from astronomy-engine, an open-source astronomical library accurate to well under an arcminute, and the sky itself is drawn with Stellarium Web Engine, the planetarium used by astronomers and schools. We test our chart maths against the planetarium's own ephemeris.

Western charts use the tropical zodiac. Vedic (Jyotish) charts use the sidereal zodiac with the Lahiri ayanamsa, the one used by India's official national calendar. Without a birth time we leave out what depends on it — the rising sign, houses, and the Moon's nakshatra — rather than guess.

How readings are written

Free readings are written by us, one passage per placement and aspect. Long-form readings (the deep reading, compatibility and timing readings, and questions you ask) are written by an AI model from your calculated chart, following rules we set: every claim has to come from a placement in your chart, and timing is described as a window that opens, never as something that will certainly happen.

Astrology is a way to reflect, not a prediction you should act on. Readings are for entertainment and self-reflection and are not medical, legal, financial or psychological advice.
